This website was created as an encyclopedia of railways in Victoria, so all information about past and present companies, accidents, lines, stations and rolling stock in Victoria could be found, in detail, in one place

Work on this website started 8th April 2011, as a place to find more information that what was available on Wikipedia for both me and my friends. Then their families have started calling and asking me for information instead of using the internet. It was about then, I realized that more people may also be searching for this information.

I would also like to mention an extremly wonderful site, PJV, without whom, I would not be able to list most of the information for rolling stock on my site.
